Petits Casino moves into old post office buildings

In early 2012 Casino will open 50 small shops in old distribution centers located near the Post office.

For several years, the Post Office moved its sorting facilities to the outskirts of cities. Many distribution centers are now empty, but conveniently located next to the post offices. La Poste has signed a deal with Casino to rent vacant premises.

Casino is going to open stores in municipalities with fewer than 12,000 inhabitants. Fifty Petit Casino stores will open in early 2012.

The outlets will  be around 200m2. Casino now has 6,700 local stores including Petit Casino, Casino shopping, Casino shop, Spar and Vival.
