Boom for certain fruits exports

Costa Rica has registered an increase of + 52 % for exports of frozen tropical fruits.

According to data from PROCOMER , exports of frozen tropical fruit realized in 2014 a turnover of USD 60.8 million . An increase of 52% compared to $ 40 million made ??the previous year.

This addition of value to production allowed the frozen tropical fruit to exceed exports of fresh fruit, which they only increased by 2.6 % compared to 2013.

Exports of frozen tropical fruits ( pineapple, papaya, melon, mango ) took the US management, lpays of South America, Canada , Europe and Japan.
