Sicilio, the prickly pear as you've never seen: this is the slogan of OP La Deliziosa at Macfrut 2016, frame chosen to present a preview of the Sicilio brand, created to enhance, the way it deserves, the prickly pear Etna DOP.
On the slopes of Etna there are suitable areas, Biancavilla, Paterno and all the little towns in the volcano area, where the soil is very rich in minerals, which is ideal for the prickly pear, giving it incomparable flavor and quality.
OP La Deliziosa, a primary enterprise of Catania who has been producing and marketing these fruits of excellence for 25 years, has decided to give a new look to its product, by creating the Sicilio brand, aimed to make the prickly pear a trendy and appreciated fruit, with a complete makeover: packaging, brand, concept. Beautiful images of the advertising campaign, inspirated by the famous ones of big fashion houses, where a handsome guy with the cap offers an attractive basket of prickly pears to a lovely girl.
Already an official supplier of the FiorFiore line by Coop, OP La Deliziosa sells directly to large-scale distribution throughout Europe with beautiful customized packaging or 2-4-6 fruits packaging and plateau. Remarkable are the sales results: +15% only in August, +20% the forecast for the end of season. Season that lasts from August to December, with varieties Agostana and Tardiva.
