Conad joins the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the Italian Unity

Conad, the Italian supermarket chain, has launched many initiatives in its 2,900 stores to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Italian unity.

To celebrate this anniversary, 2900 Conad outlets which are present over 1432 Italian towns will bring to light the Italian colors.
From March 16th till 19th, products incorporating colors of the flag will be on focus, as lettuce for green color, fennel for white and tomato for red will be on focus.

Conad will distribute to its customers a guide retracing the history of key events and a CD with the national anthem and 16 songs that accompanied the unification of Italy.

Conad is part of Coopernic, the first European Cooperative with a turnover € 101 800 000 000 (10% of sales in Europe) with the French group E. Leclerc, the Belgium Colruyt, the German Rewe and Coop in Switzerland, which represent 17,500 outlets in 18 European countries.
