The harvest of potatoes in Puglia region began since about 15 days.
The harvested varieties are: Siegling, Galatina, Spunta, Arinda, and Nicola.
Mr. Enrico Montalbo de Frutta italia V.Montalbo, specialist in the export of potatoes, explains that the production is less important than last year but quality is sharply superior , what can explains the high prices of this beginning of season. He hopes this season will continue till the end of June.
