Heartland launches the marketing of Divine variety, cultivated for the first time in Southern Hémisphere.
These two varieties Divine and Adore, have been cultivated by Delbard Nurseries in France, and are product for the first time in Southern Hemisphere. Both varieties are disease resistant and require less chemical applications than current varieties.
Divine is a crisp, crunchy and juicy apple with a firm texture and attractive traditional apple appearance. Its flavour is strong and sweet. Divine displays a full red colour with a yellow background and is medium to large in size.
Adore is a smaller sized sweet apple with a very firm texture and clean white flesh. Adore is likely to be ideal for kids and as part of a bagging programme.
Volumes will be limited for the first year of production but are quickly going to increase.
