Estimated Production of Fruits and Vegetables in Romania in 2007

Ministry of Agriculture in Romania predicts total production of vegetables in 2007 for 3,696,500 tons and tomatoes 654,300 and potatoes 3,309,800 tons. Estimated production of fruits should reach 1,480,000 tons and in this number peaches 13,000 and nuts 37,500 tons. Total area of vegetables cultivation is estimated 206,400 and for fruits 185,000 hectares.
