The last edition saw the participation of 43,000 visitors, MACFRUT 2019 promises to be even bigger with altogether 11 exhibition sectors.
For the next edition of MACFRUT, the Partner Region will be the Piemonte Region and the International Partner will be Sub-Saharan Africa. This 36th edition of MACFRUT will be held in Rimini from 8 to 10 May 2019.
The Piemonte region is one of the most important regions in Italy for fruit and vegetable production, including red apple (170 000 tonnes) and kiwifruit (110 000 tonnes). Regarding the International Partner, Sub-Saharan Africa, the focus will have several axes: the effective management of water resources, the new borders of horticulture, technologies for agricultural enterprises, and small installations for the industrial transformation.
MACFRUT 2019 will propose two dynamic zones: ACQUA CAMPUS which will present all the innovations of irrigation in a demonstrative field; and MACFRUT FIELD SOLUTION, a field of 700 square meters where we can observe the operation of the latest technologies for fruits and vegetables.
There will also be a series of conferences, including an international event dedicated to table grapes and the second edition of TROPICAL FRUIT CONGRESS, the European summit dedicated to tropical fruits, which this year will be divided into 3 sessions: tropical fruits in Europe and emerging products Lime, Papaya and Passion Fruit; Pineapple with Pineapple Day; and Temperature Management and ripening protocols.
