China sets up more frequent and stricter controls on fruits and vegetables.
After the discovery in the southwest of China of 10.000 tons of toxic vegetables because of residues of pesticides, the Chinese authorities multiply the health controls.
So on the wholesale market where were discovered these toxic vegetables, random tests are set up on all the products on arrival on wholesale market (Wuliting market to Nanning, capital of Guangxi).
These tests are added to those required from the producers who now have to subject their products to two tests of toxicity before the sending on wholesale markets. These tests allow to obtain a certificate which authorizes the sale.
The tests multiply in several regions and the province of Sichuan asks now for certificates of origin for fruits and vegetables on sale.
Some emit the hypothesis that the residues of found pesticides are the consequence of the drought which strikes a part of the country: the rain not having "washed" vegetables.
