1st imports of Vietnamese lychees

France has just received the first shipment of lychees from Vietnam.

In early June, an Asian supermarket in Paris received the first delivery of 500 kilograms of Vietnamese lychees . If successful with customers , it is then planned to import 8 tons.

Vietnam's Trade Services have studied the competition of other lychees ( Madagascar , South Africa ) and sanitary requirements of the European market . If this country is satisfactory, lychees could pave the way for other Vietnamese fruit exports to France and Europe.
