Produce Lovers: about Mexican berry market and Berry lovers brand

Produce Lovers is a Mexican organization with over 35 years of experience in the fresh fruit and vegetables industry which has evolved to become a house specialized in growing and distributing Mexican blueberries, blackberries, limes and now bell peppers. Berry Lovers is a Mexican brand with global presence dedicated to the production and distribution of berries.

Gerardo A. López, Commercial VP of Produce Lovers, who was met at Fruit Logistica 2019 in Berlin explains: “Mexico is getting more and more attention by retailers for blueberries. Season is longer and much more stable than from other sources, making it a more reliable. Mr. A. Lopez continues: “Since the berry market grows annually traders see some relevant long-term developments in the berry market. Mexico's berry season started in October and will finish late May. The expectations for this season are good despite the fact that the rains in Mexico have caused a slow start.”

Produce Lovers covers the demand from October through May with their own brand Berry Lovers. Currently company supplies major retailers in such as Costco, Sobeys and Metro, SupervalU and other small chains in Long Island and Manhattan; and Tesco in the UK. “
