Start of harvests of kiwis, which this year are of small size due to drought
In addition to the damages of the PSA disease, the drought arrived.
In this season, the volumes produced are in sharp decline. The effects of drought are added to the damage caused by the kiwifruit bacteriosis. Growers expect harvests below initial forecasts.
Because of the drought, the fruits are smaller, and the total produce volume must be lowered. But if the size of kiwi is not satisfactory, the quality of the fruit is considered ideal.
