11 Carrefour hypermarkets planned in the Gulf, Iran and Pakistan

The company that holds the exclusive franchise of Carrefour hypermarkets in the Gulf is planning an extensive expansion programme.

Majid Al Futtaim Holding plans to spend U.S. $ 3.5 billion through 2015 for the opening of four new shopping centres.

The company also plans 11 new Carrefour hypermarkets this year. The first opened in Saudi Arabia, with the others opening in the UAE, Iran, Oman, Egypt, Iraq and Pakistan.
