Mexico allows Californian avocados

Californian avocado growers can now sell dark-skinned Hass varieties in certain parts of Mexico. The US Department of Agriculture recently announced details of the agreement which is effective immediately. However, the avocados cannot be distributed in the main avocado growing areas of Mexico. The USDA still estimates that California growers could boost their sales by US$24 million.
