Turkish Vegetable Exports Increase By 50% In August
Despite the problems met in the region, Turkey succeeds in exporting more vegetables.
The main share of exportation remains tomato as always with 28% of market share but the increases in some vegetables are remarkable. In particular, potatoes exports past from 55 tons to one thousand tons with a price tripled. Only cucumber exportations falls by 30% in quantity and 48% in value comparing with August 2013.
Regarding the import countries Germany is at the first rank followed by Saudi Arabia and Russia. It is worth to note that Georgia share has increased by 975 % to represent 7% of total Turkish exports. It is the same case for other countries like Syria, Qatar, Kuwaiti.
