The French strawberry on the market

The French strawberry season follows the ones of Spain and Morocco with the early strawberries, then the seasonal ones and last, the summer ones. The annual consumption is 2,5 kg/pax for a French production of 70 000 tons per year. Spain dominates with 326 000 t, then Italy with 138 000 t, Germany (100 000 t) and Belgium (48 000 t).
