A cold wave hit the crops of apricots

Apricot production of the country has been severely hit by a wave of exceptional cold.
Damages are very important from 80 to 90% crops of apricots are affected.
A cold wave struck Armenia on March 30, accompanied by heavy snowfall (40 cm Yerevan, the capital of the country). Agricultural production is highly affected as fruit trees were already in bloom.
The Armenian agricultural union believes that the damage reaches 80-90% of the crop of apricots. Cherry and almond trees are also affected. Preliminary estimates put the losses at $ 25 million.
