Continental Europe continues to be the largest recipient.
In Chile, during week 2 of 2025, there was a peak in fresh blueberry exports, reaching a total of 11,767 tons shipped abroad, according to the latest report from the Chilean Fruit Blueberry Committee.
To date, exports accumulate 55,946 tons, 7% more than in the same week of the 2023-24 season, but 18% less than in the 2022-23 season.
This volume remains very close to the committee's initial estimates, with only a 2% difference from what was forecast. The distribution by variety showed that group 1 (recommended and new varieties) led with 81% of the total. The main varieties exported were Legacy (45%), Duke (14%) and Blue Ribbon (12%).
In terms of destinations, Continental Europe continues to be the largest recipient, absorbing 41% of exports, followed by the United States with 35%. South Korea and the United Kingdom are in third and fourth place, with 8% and 7%, respectively.
Organic blueberries also stood out, reaching a weekly high of 1,855 tons exported, accumulating 6,759 tons for the season. This represents 12% of total Chilean blueberry exports so far.
