TOMRA Food had a strong presence at PMA, the largest event in North America for the fresh produce industry. TOMRA Food displayed the TOMRA 5A, its newest and most effective model for whole potatoes, peeled or washed.
The TOMRA 5A achieves an unrivalled 98% removal rate of foreign objects, ejecting from the infeed belt unwanted materials such as stones, corn cobs and roots, wood, glass, plastics, golf balls and metals.
Mark Host, Regional Sales Director Americas, commented: "The current TOMRA 5A was originally designed as a potato machine, but it has been further enhanced so it can now also be used for strawberries, citrus and other products
. To broaden 5A’s applications, the machine’s unique software has been upgraded.
