Field visits to fields, packing stations or warehouses for these international buyers
Member companies of Saint-Charles Export participated in a reception of international buyers from the Netherlands, Hungary, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Romania.
These 7 buyers from 6 different companies paid a visit to discover the advantages of the Saint-Charles platform and the Occitania region in terms of production, marketing, transport and logistics of fresh fruit and vegetables.
The profiles of the companies received were quite diverse and representative of the sector as a whole. Large retailers were present with 2 buyers from CARREFOUR Romania and 1 representative from FOZZY GROUP, leader in food distribution in Ukraine. On the importing side, the company GLOBAL FRESH TRADE from the Netherlands and the company TEKOO RT from the Czech Republic were also present within this delegation. Finally, 2 wholesalers, from the company RUNGIS B.V. from the Netherlands and the company ZABOSFA KERTESZ from Hungary completed this panel of companies interested in discovering and exchanging with the members of the group registered.
Meetings took place within companies, on loading / unloading docks, in air-conditioned warehouses, in sales rooms, in packaging and shipping stations, in orchards or greenhouses. salads… on-site visits so that international buyers can have a better feel of the activity, the quality of the products and the know-how of the businesses encountered.
If some were already working with Saint Charles International, all buyers found out more, and left knowing the extension of the offering. Their objective was therefore clear: to discover the regional products marketed by producers and cooperatives in the department, as well as the wide range of fruits, vegetables and citrus offered by Saint Charles International companies through the various origins worked on by the platform.
If all types of fruits and vegetables interested these buyers, the exchanges were still concentrated around potatoes, onions, citrus fruits, stone fruits, nuts, mushrooms, apples, pears, berries, tomatoes, red fruits, kiwis, grapes, peppers, salads, zucchini, eggplant, broccoli, cucumbers, garlic, melons, persimmons, pomegranates and dates.
