Death of Domenico Scarpellini, one of the founders of the Macfrut trade fair

Domenico Scarpellini was born in Cesenatico in 1937 and has lived in Cesena since childhood. He has played an active role in the city's political, administrative and associative world for 50 years. An agronomy technician, his functions at the top of organizations and institutions revolving around the agri-food sector are innumerable.

One of the most outstanding was the presidency of Cesena Fiera, organizer of the Macfrut trade fair which has grown year on year. Domenico Scarpellini was president until 2014.

Then, from 2016 to 2019, Domenico Scarpellini was president of the company that manages Cesena's fruit and vegetable market.

A hard worker who repeated that his hobby was his job, he had an undisputed gift for creating synergies and building relationships.
