The merger Bel'Orta/Veiling Borgloon is effective

Last December (our info of 20/12/2013) Members of two structures gave their agreement for the merger of Bel'Orta and Veiling Borgloon.

The merger became effective in early January and the new structure operates under the name Bel'Orta. Chairman of the Board of Directors is Leo Baestaens, the management team consists of Jos Craemers, Chris De Pooter and Filip Fontaine, plus Isabel De Blaiser (quality management), Jo Lambrecht (trade management), Rudy Lutyens (operations management), Jo Op de Beeck (financial and human resources management ), Ludo de Kelst (product and quality manager) and Jos Van Dessel (sales management).

Bel'Orta will represent a turnover of around 370 million Euros and take 43% of the Belgian market share (56% for vegetables and 22% for fruits).
