The national organization is now stronger

"We now represent growers from coast to coast," said Ray Keenan, president of the UPGC (United Potato Growers of Canada) organization.

 

The organization UPGC (United Potato Growers of Canada) announced that groups from several provinces of the country have decided to join the national organization: Ontario Potato Board, Potatoes New Brunswick, Saskatchewan Seed Growers Association.

 

According to UPGC, the Ontario Potato Board decided to join the national organization in early March, Potatoes New Brunswick in early February, and the SSPGA (Saskatchewan Seed Potato Growers Association) since last fall.

 

United Potato Growers of Canada was formed in February 2006 by the provincial potato boards and represents 98% of the Canadian potato industry.
