Actress Lisa Edelstein says becoming a vegetarian can save the planet and its animals
Herself a vegetarian for 30 years, Lisa Edelstein (star of TV series Dr.House) is marketing the new PETA campaign for the ethical treatment of animals.
The actress has posed nude for PETA (People for the Ethical Treament of Animals) encouraging people to eat green to be green. Being vegetarian helps the environment and saves animals from the traumatic life
inflicted by the meat industry.
The PETA tries to raise awareness of the true impact of meat on the environment. The association says that 70% of grain and cereals grown in the U.S. are for livestock. Production of a kilo of beef causes more harmful emissions than driving a car for 3 hours.
