Decrease in banana exports in the first 3 months of 2022

Peruvian banana exports in the first quarter of 2022 totaled 51,490,085 kilos worth $38,724,595, according to the Agrodata Peru portal.

 

These figures reflect a moderate decrease from the 56,726,408 kilos shipped in the same period of 2021, valued at $40,775,272.

 

The main destinations in 2022 are the Netherlands with $11,272,182 (29% of the total), Panama with $8,212,602 (21%), the United States with $4,866,722 (13%), Belgium with $5,021,096 (13%), Republic of Korea with $2,467,226 (6%), Italy with $2,378,596 (6%), Germany with $1,405,028 (4%) and other countries that together accumulated $3,101,143 (8%).
