China, promising market for Pakistani mangoes

Invited to China biggest market in Guangzhou, Pakistani mangoes have a real success.
Producers' delegation and Pakistani exporters went to Guangzhou wholesale market (China).
"Exhibition Mango to Guangzhou" allowed presenting Pakistani mangoes (Sindhri, Chonsa and Sunera) on the biggest market of China.
The success was total. The exhibition must be prolonged of 3 weeks and will end on July 5th. About 12 supermarkets to Guangzhou already began to sell Pakistani mangoes.
The Chinese market could be developed and become a big market for mangoes export. The 3 main markets of export are Dubai, Iran and Saudi Arabia, which received 70 % of the total of mangoes exported in 2009.
Last year, Pakistan produced 1,8 million tons of mangoes, exported 0,13 million tons for a 41 million dollar value. This year, Pakistan estimates to exceed 50 million dollars.
