The pomegranate still in the first place in exports of Turkish fruits

According to the figures of the Unions of Exporters of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables of Turkey, the export of pomgranate in January and February increased by 47 percent compared to the same period in 2013 to reach over 40,000 tons with less increase in value (+27%) due to lower prices.
The pomegranate constitutes in value the half of the exports during this period, followed by apple and quince.
This is Iraq which is the largest importer of Turkish fruits, followed very far from Russia and Egypt.
