CMA CGM sells 49% of Terminal Link to China Merchants

China Merchants puts one foot in Europe by acquiring 49% of Terminal Link from CMA CGM.

CMA CGM has sold to China Merchants Holding a 49% stake in Terminal Link, his business terminal operator specializing in the management of port terminals, for € 400 million. Terminal Link operates a network of 15 container ports covering the main international shipping routes. In the global scale of terminal operators, Terminal Link is in twelfth place.

China Merchants operates in 8 ports in China (Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Xiamen). Overall, in 2012 its terminals have handled 60 million TEUs. This operation gives China Merchants the opportunity to reach their goals of international expansion sooner.
