The brand is inviting everyone interested across the United States and Canada to contest in 4 categories: Home Chef, Kid Chef, Retail Chef, and Professional Chef. The Cosmic Crisp® Culinary Challenge is featuring celebrity judge Carla Hall, to select winners. In addition to obtaining prizes, winners will meet with Carla Hall online. Hall has won Top Chef and co-hosted 7 seasons of the Emmy Award winning cooking show The Chew, and currently she is a featured chef judging and hosting shows on Discovery's Food Network.

Being developed through classic breeding at Washington State University’s tree fruit program over 20 years ago, the Cosmic Crisp® apple has quickly achieved its recognition. The brand has appeared in major lifestyle publications and media outlets, Twitter profiles of celebrities and has its own hot air balloon.
