Good season of pomegranates in perspective

50 percent of pomegranates are produced in the region of  Antalya . The meteorological conditions being favorable in the month of April and May, a good harvest is expected.

According to figures from the Union of Exporters of Antalya, 70 percent of exports are from this region. The main importing countries are Russia, Germany and Ukraine.

The cultivation of pomegranate is widespread in the Mediterranean, Aegean and the South East of Turkey and so is the quality of the fruit that makes the difference at the time of export.
