Chilean fruit exports performed well (+15.3%) over the first five months of the year.
Good performance for Chilean exports of fruits.
According to DIRECON (Dirección de Relaciones Internacionales Económicas) and the figures of Banco Central de Chile, fruit exports amounted to 3,260 million U.S. $ during the first five months of the year. An increase of 15.3% compared to the same period of the last year.
Meanwhile, the country's total exports increased by 0.9% to 33 202 million U.S. $ and imports totaling 31 324 million U.S. $ were up by 5.9%. The outstanding of trade balance remains positive for the country.
