The latest production forecasts for Florida, published by the USDA's Agricultural Statistics Council, confirm previously established forecasts.
In total, the 2023-24 orange harvest should reach 20.5 million cases (90lb = 40.8kg). This represents a 30% increase in volume compared with the 2022-2023 season.
This total volume of 20.5 million cases (90lb = 40.8kg) would be divided into 13 million cases of Valencia oranges and 7.50 million cases of non-Valencia oranges, which include early, mid-season and Navel varieties.
