Japanese manufacturer launches new pineapple peeling machine

ASTRA, the fruit peeling machine manufacturer from Japan, showcases the pineapple peeler KA-751, an updated version of their previous model KA-750. 

The major update of the KA-751 is the blade quality. The new blade utilized in KA-751 provides the next benefits: 

- Longer blade life: up to 20.000 peelings without sharpening even once;

- Increased production volume. Yield rate is improved due to the updated peeling program;

- The price for the blade is more than 50% lower now, thanks to the simplified design.

“On one of ASTRA's client’s farms in southeast Asia, two workers used to peel 40 kilos of pineapples per hour. With the ASTRA pineapple peeler, their output reached 150 kilos per hour. Not only has the speed increased but also the yield rate. When peeling by hand, it used to be about 50%, and, when using ASTRA peeling machine, the yield rate was about 60%.”, commented Ryo Takeshita, Sales Manager at ASTRA Inc.
