Stability in prices of carrots

Costs for carrots in Russian market have finely reached some stability.

After 2 weeks of price growing in most of Russian regions, costs for carrots in Russian market have finally reached some stability. According to statistics, price rising for carrots has stopped because of sales slowdown. But this tendency is quite typical for the end of January. This week, all the struggles of local carrots producers to rise prices for vegetables remained unsuccessful.

At this time all the deliveries are carried out in small quantities and with prices 0,28 – 0,35 EURO / kg. In spite of this costs decreasing for carrots in Russia, prices are still 36% - 46% higher than last years’ figures. Meantime in Ukraine in January 2013 local producers are ready to sell carrots for 0,15 – 0.20 EURO / kg.
