Limited quantities of sour cherries in Poland

This season's crops of sour cherry may be at the level of 80-90 thousand tons, it means approximately 50-60% less than a year ago. Rise in price - both in purchasing and in export - is inevitable.
Processing plants predict that for 1kg of these fruit, customers will have to pay 0,48 EUR, 20-30% more expensive than in 2006.
Crops of sour cherries in five countries: Poland, Serbia & Montenegro, Hungary and Czech Republic won't exceed probably the level of 240 thousand tons, 40% lower than last year (380 thousand tons).
In Hungary agriculture specialists expect crop of 36 thousand tons (about 40% less than a year ago).
