ASOEX presents third estimate for grape exports

According to the third forecast of the ASOEX Table Grape Committee regarding grape exports in the 2022/23 campaign, Chile will export 66,920,661 tons of this fruit, which means a 10% decrease compared to shipments of the previous campaign, and a drop of 2.5% compared to what was projected by the union in the second estimate last October. According to the third forecast of the ASOEX Table Grape Committee regarding grape exports in the 2022/23 campaign, Chile will export 66,920,661 tons of this fruit, which means a 10% decrease compared to shipments of the previous campaign, and a drop of 2.5% compared to what was projected by the union in the second estimate last October.
36,251,172 boxes of grapes of new varieties will be exported, 19,513,322 boxes of traditional varieties and 11,156,167 boxes of Red Globe, a variety that is losing more and more areas within exports, decreasing 25% this campaign compared to what is shipped in the previous season.
Regarding the new varieties, the red ones would be the most shipped (17,599,994 boxes), highlighting Allison, Timco and Sweet Celebration.
So far for the white varieties, 14,125,520 boxes will be exported, highlighting ARRA 15, Sweet Globe, and Timpson.
And finally, 4,525,657 boxes of the new black varieties will be shipped, led by Sweet Favours, Sweet Saphire and Sable Seedless.
The main destinations will be the United States, with 40 million boxes, Asia, with 15 million boxes, and Europe, with 9 million boxes.
