ASOEX presents fifth estimate of grape exports for the 2022/23 season

Exports of fresh grapes from Chile in the 2022/2023 season would total 67,127,227 boxes of 8.2 kilos, according to the fifth estimate made by the Association of Fruit Exporters of Chile AG (ASOEX).

This figure shows a decrease of 9.7% compared to the 2021/2022 season, and a decrease of almost 1% compared to the fourth estimate of the Committee.

From the union they assure that the quality of their offer has improved significantly, especially that of the new varieties, whose participation is expected to be around 54% of the total shipments of said fruit.

Shipments of new varieties would represent 36,020,832 boxes; those of traditional, 19,476,878 boxes, and those of Red Globe, 11,629,517 boxes, a variety whose shipments fall year after year.
