After the import authorization granted by the Turkish government, the export is based on goods trade. The first cargo of potatoes and onions was sent to the Syrian rebels-controlled areas by the Cilvegözü border gate.
The owner of an import company, export and customs operations in Hatay city near the Syrian border, says traders await the authorization for two years and that the export license in exchange for imported goods will breathe air not only to import-export companies, but also to transport companies in difficulty since the start of hostilities.
The Syrian people in urgent need of food staples, such as potatoes, onions grown around Hatay and exchange of goods should be between the two border points.
