Fruit production affected by floods

450.000 hectares damaged by overflowing of the Vistula.
Poland knew the worst floods for 140 years after torrent rains which made extend beyond the Vistula, biggest river of the country.
The most touched regions are Wilków, Lubelskie, Swietokrzyskie, Sandomierz, Mazowiecki.
450.000 hectares of farmlands are damaged what is going to involve an important decline of agricultural production.
According to the first estimations the production of apples should fall of 12 % to 2.300.000 tons.
Strawberries production should decrease of 14 % to reach 170.000 tons. Cherries should decrease of 20 % and to reach 150.000 tons.
