The Huelva region increased its strawberries exports to the EU by 19% during the first 3 months of the season.
Strawberry exports to the EU increased by 19% over the previous season.
The Huelva region increased its strawberries exports by 19% to the EU for the first quarter of the season. Half of the estimated production (245,000 tons) has been harvested already.
Countries of the European Union
are the main consumers and the Huelva region annually exports 85% of its production of strawberries and 90% of its berry production.
France is the largest custumer with a volume representing 34% of total exports. France is followed by Germany, Italy and the UK.
