Return to normality in Chilean ports
FJ
The paralysis of the Chilean ports due to the strike of dockers is nearly to an end.
In the ports of Valparaiso and San Antonio, it is expected to return to normal in 2 weeks, maybe even less in ports in the South of the country. It is difficult to estimate the losses incurred by the accumulation of fruit in orchards, storage areas and ports.
Traders believe that the conflict that has affected the country for more than two weeks could have a significant impact at international level. Loss of money, but also loss of image, and reputation compromised for a country hitherto respectful of delivery times.
