Friday 03 December 2004
Production of French table grapes is expected to by up by 20 percent this year, a return to normal volumes according to industry professionals.
With the arrival of new producing countries such as Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco, and the overproduction of the Prima variety, French growers, who already face stiff competition from countries such as South Africa and Peru, are having a difficult start to the season.
