Catalonia exceeds 300 million pounds exported

For the first time, the Catalonia region exceeded 300 million pounds for the export of stone fruit.
According to Afrucat, the campaign 2013 campaign set a record: exports of stone fruits (peaches, nectarines ...) exceeded 300 million pounds for the first time. The volume exported corresponds to 3/4 of the production.
Catalonia exported +26% compared to the 2012 campaign. Growth is significantly higher for exports of peaches (+41%) than for exports of nectarines (+17%).
Germany is the main destination and has increased its imports by about +42%, France is the second destination and has increased its imports by +35%.
