APHIS revises pest risk assessment for the importation of sweet granadilla and passion fruit from Hawaii
VU
In the United States, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has published a draft of a pest risk assessment for the importation of sweet granadilla (P. ligularis) and passion fruit (Passiflora edulis) from Hawaii into the continental U.S., Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. The draft contemplates potential pests associated with the product.
With such an initiative, APHIS aims to determine if stakeholders have information that might lead them to revise the draft assessment before they identify pest mitigations and continue with the commodity import approval process
