Live from MACFRUT: The Minister Martina at the inauguration
At the opening of Macfrut 2016, the Minister of agricultural food and forestry policies Mr. Maurizio Martina remarked the leap of quality and the progress of the Italian exhibition, a reference point for the sector and for the Italian agri-food experience.
For Italy, the fruit and vegetables worth over 12 billion euro, and it's supported by all the tools available. The key points are: research, innovation and internationalization (for the first two points, in particular, plan for sustainablebiotechnology, and the one for precision agriculture). Also important is the work done for the Made in Italy abroad with the Economic Development, and ICE, which will increase the number of buyers present at Macfrut.
Not even eighteen months ago, in presenting the relaunch of Macfrut to the Minister, the President of Cesena Fiera announced five halls and the presence of 400 world buyers. Today the halls have risen to seven, buyers have become 1000, and even almost an exhibitor out of four comes from abroad. So the internationalization process undertaken has made significant steps forward, as well as innovations, another cornerstone of the 33rd edition of Macfrut.
