Exports of bananas have the highest turnover in the past five years.
Excellent result for banana exports totaling 128.8 million USD between January and October 2016, according to data from ADEX, the Peruvian exporters' association.
ADEX points out that this amount of USD 128.8 million is the highest figure of the last 5 years (January-October period) and represents an increase of 7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the case of banana customers, the Netherlands ranked first with 33.6% of total shipments (USD 43.3 million), followed by the United States with 30.2% (38.9 Million USD) followed by Germany ($ 17.9 million) and Belgium ($ 11.2 million). South Korea, Finland, Japan, United Kingdom, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Italy, France, Mexico, China and Russia.
