Demand is growing in the UAE for mangos from Pakistan.
Emirate-based importers and exporters in Pakistan find that demand for mangoes is growing.
This year in Pakistan the harvest of mangoes was between 10 and 15 days late. The arrival of fruits exported to the Emirates has been shifted accordingly. But Emirates-based importers found that the first cargoes were exhausted in a few days. This growing demand augurs a satisfactory season for Pakistani exporters.
In the UAE, Pakistan and India dominate the mango market with 70% market share. Mangoes from India supply the UAE market from April to June, Pakistan mangoes from late May to September.
