Castilla-La Mancha will see 15% of additional garlic production.
In the region Castilla-La Mancha, the acreage of garlic will increase.
The Committee of agri-food cooperatives in the region Castilla-La Mancha, predicts an average increase of 15% in the area dedicated to garlic. This increase mainly relates to the early variety known as the
"spring" and to a lesser extent for the white variety but not indigenous purple garlic, which will see flat production or even slight decline.
Despite unfavorable weather conditions with drought and severe frosts, the new season looks fairly normal.
