Francisco Góngora Cañizares, the new president of Hortyfruta, the trade association of fruit and vegetables from Andalusia.
Hortyfruta, the trade association for fruit and vegetables from Andalusia, has chosen a new president.
Francisco Góngora Cañizares, 42, comes from the banking sector where he is Director of the agri-food part of Cajamar Caja Rural. Hortyfruta says Cañizares will bring experience and knowledge of the agricultural sector and is valued by industry players.
The new president wants to achieve the broadest possible representation from production and marketing with all stakeholders represented. He believes that the organization cannot be limited to promotional campaigns, and that it is necessary to have a greater capacity for action.
