The harvest 2009-2010 will be better than planned after the exceptional frost which struck Florida.
The American department of the agriculture raised its estimations of harvest of oranges of Florida for the season 2009-2010.
Touched by an exceptional frost this winter and by the bad weather, the state of Florida had given several very pessimistic estimations onto its harvest of orange.
Damages caused by the frost of January seems less dramatic than planned and the harvest expectations improve.
The American department of the agriculture (USDA) raised its forecasts from 0,5 % to carry them in 131,6 million of boxes. Far from the 162,4 million boxes produced last year but far better than 129 millions planned in February.
